Hi, I'm Brooke and I'm 10 years old. I've been finger pricking for a long time and I hate it. I love dancing and was involved in a gala night for Pumps for PatCH. It was fun dancing with other kids from other companies and we raised lots of money to buy pumps for the hospital. It was hard when I was diagnosed but we are doing really well now. My levels go crazy when I'm dancing all day but my mum is figuring it out. |

Hi, my name is Lyndsey and I was diagnosed with Type 1 seven months ago. At first it was really scary having all the needles and finger pricks. Now I can even give myself needles - but sometimes Mum and Dad have to do it! I am going to get a pump one day which will be great. My family and friends also came with me for the JDRF Walk for a Cure which was loads of fun, we raised over $3000 for research. I hope they find a cure soon. |
